The Exchange Club of Brunswick proudly held their annual Police Officer of the Year ceremony, recognizing exceptional contributions from members of the local law enforcement community. This distinguished event, coordinated by retired Brunswick police chief T.C. Cowan, provided a meaningful platform to honor those who have demonstrated remarkable dedication and service. By highlighting these outstanding achievements, the Exchange Club actively nurtures a culture of gratitude and encouragement for the dedicated individuals who safeguard and serve our community. This year, ten officers were honored by their respective departments, highlighting the profound influence of their dedication and professionalism within the community. To honor their remarkable service and steadfast dedication to public safety, the Exchange Club presented each recipient with a $100 check and a commemorative plaque. This recognition extended across a diverse range of departments, including the Brunswick Police Department, Glynn County Police Department, Glynn County Sheriff's Office, Glynn County School Police, College of Coastal Georgia Police, Southeast Georgia Health System Police, Georgia State Patrol for Brunswick and Jekyll Island, as well as the Georgia Department of Natural Resources. By celebrating these honorees from various agencies, the Exchange Club highlighted the collective impact of their professionalism and commitment to the community.
