Football coaches speak to the Exchange club of Brunswick

The Exchange Club of Brunswick welcomed Steven Waters, athletic director for the Glynn County School System, along with Glynn Academy head football coach Rocky Hidalgo and Brunswick High School head football coach Byron Slack as guest speakers at its weekly luncheon. Waters highlighted the variety of middle and high school sports beginning with the new school year. Glynn Academy coach Rocky Hidalgo also discussed this season’s roster, highlighted the returning juniors and seniors, and shared the team’s expectations for the year. New Brunswick High School coach Byron Slack said that although he is new to the Pirates program, his time working with the team over the summer has highlighted the players’ talent and potential. Both coaches praised the depth of talent on their teams and encouraged club members to attend Friday night games and support their local athletes.
