Fire Prevention Month

October is fire prevention month. The Exchange club of Brunswick held their annual P.J. Frenchi Blanchard firefighter appreciation luncheon. For 52 years the Exchange club of Brunswick has honored men and women of our local fire services. Fire prevention week is on record as the longest running public health observance. This years theme "Not every hero wears a cape. Plan and practice your escape." The 2019 honorees are Dillon Hodge, Brunswick Fire department, Captain James Ownbey Glynn County fire department, Christian Nathanial Gaddy Glynn county volunteer fire department, and Danny Petty Jekyll Island fire department. The Exchange of Brunswick is very proud of the men and women of our local fire service.
