Each year, the Exchange Club of Brunswick selects an outstanding eighth-grade student from each of our local middle schools, as well as St. Francis Catholic School, to be recognized for their exemplary citizenship. This initiative is designed to recognize and celebrate young individuals who consistently display dedication, integrity, and serve as positive role models—both within their schools and in the wider community. This year, we proudly honored 11 outstanding students, presenting each with a certificate and a $100 award. The Young Citizenship Award aims to acknowledge and reward those who put forth the effort to be exemplary citizens, not only at school, but also at home and throughout their communities. The young citizenship award program seeks to prove to these kids that good citizenship counts___to show them that their conduct and attitude is not only noticed and appreciated, but that is also rewarded.
The criteria for selecting candidates are comprehensive and encompass several key qualities: citizenship, attitude, academic performance, service, leadership, and sportsmanship. Each attribute is carefully considered to ensure that those chosen exemplify outstanding character and commitment in every aspect of their lives.
The students honored this year from Needwood, Colton Swanson, Madison Ridens, Alessandra Glover, St. Francis Allia Guest, Glynn Middle Mollie Temples, Ny'asia Kirksey, Risley middle Alisia Potter, Jadarious Bryant, Jane Macon Ava Ambrose, Sayuri Maxwell, Bailey Hughes
