Chief Battiste Speaks to the Exchange club of Brunswick

Newly hired Chief Jacques Battiste of the Glynn county police department spoke to about 50 members of the Exchange club of Brunswick during their weekly meeting. The Exchange club of Brunswick welcomed Chief Battiste as the new chief of police with applause. Chief Battiste told the club about how the Glynn county police department is a great department. His plans on enhancing the police department. Chief Battiste told the club that Glynn county reminds him of growing up and spending his summers in South Carolina. He is working on his Georgia POST (peace officers standards and training) certification and getting to know all of the officer's in the department.


The Exchange club of Brunswick is celebrating 75 years of service to Brunswick and Glynn county this year, America's service club is made up of men and women working together to make our community a better place to live through programs of service in Americanism, community service, youth activities and our national project the prevention of child abuse.
