The Exchange club of Brunswick guest speaker this week was Mr. Bill Falon Glynn county manager. Bill told the club about the upcoming SPLOST election. The county would collect the extra penny for 6 years. The SPLOST would benefit the City of Brunswick, Brunswick-Glynn JWSC, Economic development authority, Jekyll Island Authority, Glynn county airport commission. Projects will be Roads& traffic improvements, Drainage projects, Storm and critical incident preparedness, General infrastructure. Fire & rescue safety, Economic and workforce development, Recreation, parks & culture and sidewalks and trails. 44% of the SPLOST will be paid by tourist and visitors to our community.
