Floyd H. Faust
On July 6, 2011, after a year-long battle with colon cancer, Floyd passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family. Throughout his life, Floyd dedicated his time serving his community in various ways. In 1963, he joined the Exchange Club of Brunswick and dedicated 48 years of service to the club and the youth of Glynn County.
One of Floyd's primary projects was the Exchange Club Turkey Shoot, which he ran faithfully for 46 years in a row. He personally started, stocked and ran the petting farm at the fair for the past 17 years. Since 1995, Floyd and wife, Mikki, represented the Exchange Club as the "Scoopie & Poopie Clown Team" in the Annual Blessing of the Fleet Parade in Darien.
Floyd loved life and lived it to the fullest. He was a devoted family man and special friend to many people. He loved to joke around and he was always there to help anyone in need. We will treasure our many special memories of Floyd and he will live forever in our hearts.
To honor Floyd, the Exchange Club renamed our annual turkey shoot. Come support the Floyd Faust Memorial Turkey Shoot.
